It was time I got some new luggage. I’ve been traveling a lot for both business and pleasure lately. I was walking to Nordstrom in the Garden’s Mall with my heart set on the XPS Business Essentials line from Samsonite. The only reason being that Richard Branson is feature in the Wired Magazine ad and I figured if it’s good enough for him, then you know.. me too.
Fortunately, I happened to walk past the Tumi store. I really don’t know all that much about luxury luggage options but the nice sales lady was happy to fill me in once she realized I was a serious business executive that needed some luxury luggage right that second. Tumi is a manufacturer of suitcases and bags for travel. The company was founded in 1975 and is named for a Peruvian deity according to its founder, who spent time in Peru while in the Peace Corps. The products are known for their black-on-black ballistic nylon.

The thing I really love about the laptop bag are those little circles of comfort that nestle my MacBook Pro to perfection. Admittedly, the bag doesn’t have all that much room for other stuff, such as the huge MacBook Pro power supply. It works though. And it goes very well with the matching wheeled carry-on.

Very light with an excellently sturdy and well-designed handle. The wheels feel nice too, for some reason. I’ve already taken advantage of my new-found love for packing with my recent trip to Los Angeles. Traveling has never been so fun. Fortunately, I have a lot of destinations coming up in the next few months.
