My vote is in! Wendy and I voted absentee this year to avoid getting trampled at this year’s Bush v. Kerry civil war at the polls. I took my time, made nice legible black lines, read everything and researched all my choices of the amendments.
And what was my vote for President, you ask?
That’s right bitches, JFK. In these trying times we can’t afford to leave the whole thing up to a religious right-wing moron. This is the United States of America, people. That used to mean something. We used to be intelligent, world-leading, commerce-driven people. Wake up and smell the Bible reading time in school, kids!
This is not just a vote for John Kerry and John Edwards. This is a vote against George W. Bush, an action which I believe is being taking by a great many Kerry/Edwards voters. My main focus for this election is protecting our rights and freedom. I’m not about to leave it up to Bush and his Christian puppeteers to decide how I’ll live by appointing judges which will change our lives for decades to come.
This is not just about abortion. Yes, that issue is on the table in reference to this judge selection. However, it’s much more than that. Cable and satellite TV, the internet, newspapers, music, everything. Who do you want deciding what is “appropriate” for you: YOU or an old man with one hand on his Bible and the other on the gavel.
Personally, I think I’m intelligent enough to make those decisions for my self, thank you.
