Liberals “Crush Dissent” because they are sinful, and shouldn’t be elected because they would legislate sin. Is this type of insanity due to the ever more depressing polls for the Republicans, or are we at the start of a larger, longer cultural war in this country?

I actually think it’s sad that the religious right bases their opinions on a series of books written by some obviously insane schizos thousands of years ago. And that causes them to hate people with which they share the world. It’s ironic.
I still don’t get the talk about the godless undermining democracy by undermining religion. Come on, Christianity isn’t based on free speech and equality; it’s based on submission to an invisible brat who kills those who don’t agree with him. Free speech = eternal damnation, according to the Bible.
The cons can whine all they want, but people are getting less religious as they realize that it’s all a myth, a myth that really doesn’t even make very much sense, no less.
