Back in the Piece
Vocino Labs, back in the piece.
For quite a long time, this site has been dormant. I’ve given excuses over the years (has it really been that long?) ranging from “I don’t have time” to complex little quotes like “The shoemaker’s shoes always have holes.” It does come down to a time allocation issue.
That, and the fact that no one is a harsher client than yourself. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve built out a design all the way to the last leg only to give it up due to getting tired of it before it even launched.
To avoid a repeat, this time I just threw something together as quick as possible. I started with a framework, chopped up the CSS like a mad man in a Rails Rumble competition, and went for launch as soon as humanly possible. I’d rather be focusing on client work anyway. So when I had a short window, I seized the opportunity to crank something out. Overall, I think the results serve their purpose (showcasing some work, giving me a place to post cast studies and acting as a simple home base).
Now it’s back to the laboratory to work on great projects for the people that really matter: our clients.
